Anita Khandelwal Joins Pacifica’s Litigation Practice Group as Of Counsel
"Anita is a talented lawyer who will be a significant asset to Pacifica’s clients, and her proven leadership and commitment to public service make her a great fit for our firm.”
Pacifica Law Group is delighted to announce that Anita Khandelwal has joined the firm as of counsel in its Litigation Practice Group.
A former public defender and advocate for criminal justice reform, Khandelwal brings a strong public service background to her work. Most recently, Khandelwal served as director of the King County Department of Public Defense (DPD), where she led a department of more than 400 staff, and navigated complex employment and labor issues. She was also previously a federal defender.
Khandelwal further strengthens the litigation team at Pacifica, where she will advise public and private clients, and represent them in trial and appellate litigation in state and federal courts. She also adds significant experience to Pacifica’s labor and employment law practice, including with collective bargaining, employee discipline, internal investigations, the reasonable accommodation process, and in designing equitable hiring practices.
“We are excited to welcome Anita to Pacifica,” said Pacifica Litigation Practice Group Leader Jessica Skelton. “She is a talented lawyer who will be a significant asset to Pacifica’s clients, and her proven leadership and commitment to public service make her a great fit for our firm.”
Khandelwal earned her J.D. from Yale Law School, and her B.A. from Yale University. After law school, she clerked on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the Western District of Texas.
